Hey there… again. I’m gonna be low activity? And probably go back to being a multimuse? Look down, there’s a Carrd for muses! And I’m not just going to be for Marvel anymore. Make sure you check out the Carrd for deets.
I use the beta editor!

Don’t be afraid to DM me if you have questions or want to talk. Typically, I’m… chill. At least, I think I am.
Kimimaro smiled at her resolve. “Kiyoko,” he said gently, “you know that if I get better, I’ll be the next vessel for Lord Orochimaru…right? I’ll still be here, but he will be controlling this body. But I’ll be happy, because I’ll be with him,” he reassured her. “And maybe, if you catch up to me, you can be a vessel for him, too. Then we’d be reunited.”
A spasm of pain sent him back down to the pillow on his hospital bed. His Curse Mark flared and spun, trying to lend power to his body. “Hmm…I don’t know if I want you to get a Curse Mark, though,” he murmured. “There’s no guarantee you would survive it.”
She didn’t know if she even wanted it, either. It gave everyone strength, more than some could handle even. The process looked brutal when she watched the last person get one.
There was a nod of her head, “I’ll catch up-” It was just going to take a while. “… But first, you need to get some rest before you make it worse.” She did work on fixing the sheet covering him, making sure he was comfortable. “I’ll do the catching up after you’re better.”
“I do these things because I care… I want you to be with us for a long time. Your life shouldn’t be cut short because of this illness.” It just wasn’t fair, and she was going to try to help figure this out. “You’re stronger than me, I’ll give you that, but you also have a curse mark. That’s something I lack. I’ll catch up to you when you’re better.”
“You did everything imaginable right!” There was a cheery smile on her face. But did Kiyoko truly know what Karin did right? “You were kind to me and didn’t push me away.”
Was she serious right now?! These guys tonight were attacking her and they’d just kept coming at both of them regardless of whether or not Katsuki’s explosive display was a dangerous enough of a warning, which it typically was.
“Th'hell kind of coward bullshit is that?! Almost sounds like you’re afraid of your–” his voice catches. He remembers a time when dark tendrils emerged uncontrollably from one for all. He remembers training in the gym when the bird shadow seemingly grew three times it’s typical size and beak-boy was practically dragged clear across the indoor space. Katsuki was self-absorbed, not dense. They were all still learning, growing, improving. Even if she felt like she made the mistake of falling behind, there was no reason she couldn’t put in the work needed to catch up to the rest of them.
“Then work on it.” His penetrating and unwavering red gaze locked with hers; like lasers beaming directly into her skull. It may have began as harsh words but he was being sincere.
That’s part of what it means to be a Hero. To have a quirk at all.
“Look, you can’t stop to hesitate when being attacked, no matter who it’s gonna hurt because you’ll be the one who loses! Any one could be attacking! Defend yourself, against anyone! Doesn’t matter what they’re calling themselves hero, criminal, villain, civilian! Anyone is capable of going on the attack!”
“You’d better get wise on what I’m about to say next or give up entirely, cuz there’s gonna come a time when you’re gonna have to face reality! No one else is going to hesitate to use their quirk on you, not when the chips are down and push comes to shove, that’s when all you’ve got left is your own convictions. You got that?! Am I making it clear enough, snowbunnies?”
He was right, she wanted to be a hero one day and not using her quirk isn’t getting her anywhere. Being afraid of it isn’t helping either. Freezing villains and making ice walls to keep civilians safe was very helpful as a hero. There were enough things she could do with her quirk, more than enough.
So she was going to have to work double time to catch up to everyone else. Not liking what could be done with it made her hold back for so long. It didn’t help that she froze Kazane’s wings at one point. She was fine, not hurt, the feathers that froze had to grow back in, so she was flightless for a while. Yukimi still blamed herself for it.
She gulped and straightened up, “I hear you loud and clear, Bakugo!” No more hesitating, she needed to get her head on straight and help people, that’s what being a hero was about. Not being afraid all the time because she accidentally froze someone’s feathers. Though that didn’t stop her from blushing at the nickname he gave her.
Talking to him did give her time to calm down, and she did stop causing the temperature to drop. Letting out a sigh, she felt like someone finally lit a fire under her… There will come a day she’ll be alone out here without someone to help her, and she will have to defend herself from a villain… or a group of people from one, even.
“I’ll get better at this, I have to. I want to be a hero, just like everyone else, and I won’t stop until I’m better at this. Thank you, Bakugo.” She reached forward and held his hand with both of hers.
There's something outside on her window sill, it's been sittin' there all day, just gone unnoticed until now. Because now it's turned to night and the cover of darkness reigns, allowing the small, simple item formed from acrylic resin to glow. It's a particular hue of flourescent blue. If she takes a closer look or even manages to retrieve it, she'd find it's shape to be that of a small rabbit. Small enough to fit in the palm of a hand.
[Present day. Pro hero verse]
Lyn returned from her time out, saving someone from a falling object was a bit rough. They survived with the help of a large metal platform, taking the hit. She just wanted to flop on her bed and go to sleep. Flopping her body on the bed, she looked up at the window sill. A glowing bunny? There was a smirk on her face, remembering when she was a kid, her and Toya would talk about going to the moon to bring back a bunny. She would be the one making the rocket ship that would get them there, and Toya was going to power it. Oh, the ideas they came up with.
“How’d this get here though… It’s cute.” She inched over to the side of the bed, thinking she’d be able to reach. Nope- onto the floor with her face. “Ugh.” After that embarrassing moment that she hoped no one saw, she reached up to grab the bunny.
“Maybe he did go to the moon…” Taking it, she would go put it on a shelf in her room as a nice night light. It was very pretty, why leave it on the window sill?
Himori was hesitant about this. Get on stage? Be in front of people? Suddenly a heavy feeling hit her chest. Could she handle playing and singing in front of others? Wait wait wait, was this…stage fright? Her? It felt ridiculous but…here she was feeling nervous.
Still, maybe if she got good at it, maybe she could handle it. Her pride would help boost her confidence. “I will practice for that position then. A band could be fun. And I’m sure my captain would love to see my show!”
“Who is your Captain anyway? I’m in Squad 9. So I have Captain Muguruma.” Akina didn’t recall being told Himori’s squad. She put her arms behind her head and stood there.
Akina had stage fright a few times when she was starting too, but she became a hit with the punk rock scene. It took her a few times to find the genre she fit into. Ones she still dressed in, even today.
